Making a Place

February 10, 2016 by Jeane George Weigel

Pain or no I intend to continue. And you all are some of what I know to grab hold of when I need a pull up, when I need to remember who I am.

A Love Letter

February 2, 2016 by Jeane George Weigel

… I put some real heart into wondering why I had ever been. And there was nothing. No great thing. No reason at all that I could come up with.

It’s Kim’s Fault

January 28, 2016 by Jeane George Weigel

… and I haven’t even started with Kim’s divine pastries—tarts and scones and cakes and pies and cobblers…

Changing the Way We See

January 23, 2016 by Jeane George Weigel

So whatever it is you may be struggling with, might I suggest you think about Grace’s idea? Find a nourishing way to see it if you can.

Getting to the Gym

January 10, 2016 by Jeane George Weigel

So I’ve written this small piece to you all to enlist your support in getting me down the mountain to start a thing I want DONE without the doing of it. Oh me.

Breaking Silence

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
