Pancakes and Good Coffee

December 30, 2012 by Jeane George Weigel

I woke up REALLY early this morning–just more evidence that I’m getting better I think–and I got to start my day with delicious buttermilk pancakes (you’ll find the recipe in this post: Kim Moss’s Fabulous Buttermilk Pancakes)…

… excellent coffee, good company and a passel of pets curled up all around me. I took a walk after the sun came up…

(This is Finn on our return. He gets SO cold with so little fur, but he loves his walks anyway and REALLY loves coming home to a fire in the wood heater, his bankie and Skye).

There’s a big snowstorm on its way…

… and I just don’t think life could get any better than this.

Here’s wishing you pancakes and good coffee (or your equivalent, fill in the blank here:__________), and a very happy Sunday.

Love to you all,

Jeane

It was Grace. And peaceful and rich and soul-filling. I’m SO HOPEFUL about these last few days and the big shift that seems to be occurring.

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
