The bread turns into a kind of tender cake that sits in the midst of a creamy custard, while the apples and raisins somehow mix all through the whole dish offering sweet little surprises here and there. And the layer of bread on top turns into a crunchy, sweet crust that is making me weak in the knees just thinking about it.

Good Morning!
The storm has passed us by it seems, but it is still a very nippy morning. There’s a fire blazing in the wood stove and the kitchen is filled with the fragrance of pancakes on the griddle. It is truly a very, very good life!
Finn During the Storm
I’m not doing a “real” post today and tomorrow but I thought you all would enjoy this photo of Finn. A huge storm is coming in with high winds and cold temps. While he loves his walks, he gets VERY cold…
