I heard the celebration across the mountain, dancing in the night air, the music gathering with the stars.

Walking with the dogs last night at sunset. The coyotes sang us home.

It’s quite unusual to get our first snow so early in October but I have to say the needed precipitation is wonderful in Truchas, NM.

Many of you know that I heat solely with wood and that I live in the mountains of northern New Mexico at 8500 feet.
