This Journey is a Remembering

“We sometimes make decisions out of necessity and sometimes we manage to follow our bliss. That’s part of the great mystery and ultimate delight in living.”

Of Sensation and Memory

“I remember watching an infant, whose attention was utterly fixed on the sound and motion of leaves in the wind. Watching this child learn about the world, I was reminded to pay attention… ”

A Christmas Wish

This poem, sent to me by a reader, offered me its fresh perspective. On the chance you, like me, have not yet put this thought into form, I’m passing the poem on to you.

Readers Write: A Lovely Response

The inspirational push to my boundaries this morning was a blog post. Reading it urged me to see a different vision, suggested expanding my horizon. And I did, and it worked… It is happening on, which seems to be my theme these days, an Inner Level.

Readers Write: A Forum for Communicating With Readers

I have read so much of your blog. But, while inspiring, it leaves many questions unanswered. Some, I imagine, you consider too personal. But my answer to that would be that given the spiritual nature of this blog, you might consider becoming more vulnerable…

About Me

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
