Thanksgiving With Friends in Truchas, NM

Many of us living here in Truchas, New Mexico can’t be with family over the holidays, so we spend them with friends. This year Anna (The Old Adobe Church, the Wolf and Survival and The Art of Anna Karin) and Bill (The Farmer’s Mantra) made Thanksgiving dinner at their gorgeous old adobe home. We were blessed by the company of Vera, Vera’s son, Devin, and Shawn.

Vera is a school teacher, Devin is an opera singer who did us the great honor of singing for us after dinner, and Shawn is an ex-bull rider, now farmer/rancher. But most importantly, they are each part of our “family” here in northern New Mexico.

It was a truly wonderful day, filled with good food and conversation and I wanted to share it with you, my blog “family.” So welcome to our Thanksgiving. I felt you here.
