Rescue Dog, Cricket, Update

Some of you have been wanting to know whatever became of that sweet puppy my friends Barbara and Alvaro rescued from the snow last winter (see previous post Puppy Rescue). Well, as it turns out, she is a Basenji/Heeler mix. Who knew those little folded tipped-ears would turn into these? And that chubby little puppy body into this?

Cricket is the perfect playmate for ChoCho. They run and play every minute of every day until they just can’t play anymore. And, there’s even more good news. At 2 1/2 years, Tula is still with us! And SHE gets into the action, too.

Then there’s Barbara and Alvaro: Cricket has filled a hole they didn’t know existed and she’s found her way deeply into their hearts.

Just like all other surprises in life, we never know how they’ll turn out. I hope you’ll each consider taking on a rescue dog. You just can’t know what you’re missing until one of these furry fellows takes comfort in your life and makes her place in your heart.

Expect a Finn update soon!

Love to you all,
Jeane

About Me

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
