Anna Karin Gallery, Truchas, NM: Installing the New Sign

So the day finally arrived to install our new sign across the street from the gallery. Something you don’t know is that Bill Loyd had to make an entirely different sign from the one you saw him weld (see previous post Anna Karin Gallery, Truchas, NM: Final Touch) because that gorgeous thing was just too heavy to install on the slope where it had to go. Undaunted, Bill made another version—same size and shape, but much lighter.

So Jessie came to help and we all decided where it should go and it is done—just like that! Easy for me to say. Nothing about digging holes in this New Mexico dirt happens “just like that,” but it is, indeed, in. We KNOW throngs of people will be stopping by because of it. THANK YOU Bill and Jessie!

Here are some pics of the day:

Love to you all,
Jeane

Beautiful. That describes Bill Loyd to a tee.

About Me

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
