I’ve written a lot about the simple pleasures lately and I have to say I love living this slow-paced life that allows me to celebrate them. Some people have so little time they don’t even NOTICE.
One of the many purposes of the High Road Artist blog is a hope of giving those people a moment of quiet calm and a reminder of what already exists in their lives if they only take the tiniest bit of time to appreciate it. It is a gift that always gives back, I promise.
So here’s a simple pleasure from my Sunday morning: the beauty of eggs slowly cooking in Irish butter, an old, well seasoned, carbon steel pan from France (I almost feel transported to a little village in the south of France, don’t you?). That’s real beauty worthy of a photo I’m thinking. Simply gorgeous:
And, of course, sitting down to a fabulous breakfast of eggs, salsa and thick-sliced bacon, with a good friend after a brisk walk at sunrise, the dogs ranging through the pastures in sheer glee:
This is such an amazingly good life and I wish it (or your own version of it anyway) for all of us.
Happy Sunday!
Love to you all,
Jeane
Dreaming, with three hungers, dreaming.
Thanks for sharing your bliss. This meal, these pictures, your outlook — they all bring me a good feeling.
I’m so happy to hear that Sunday. Thank you so much for writing to let me know.
