Credit Where Credit is Due

In the interest of giving credit where credit is due, I just had to post this photo of my Tobey (named for Mark Tobey, a celebrated NW painter) helping me out with the blog. He’s nothing if not helpful and I just didn’t want his efforts to go unrecognized.

Ever vigilant, here he is art directing a shot.

What can I say? He’s very dedicated and a hard worker. And he ALWAYS has an opinion.

Love to you all,

Jeane

I’ve found he was also quite helpful in directing the creation discussions of the High Road Guide app when I was up there last Spring 🙂 What a character!

Yes! There you see everybody, Tobey is an indefatigable supporter of all things “High Road Artist.” He is VERY loyal to say the least.

This one certainly looks after me. P.S. He weighed less than an ounce when I rescued him.

Cats have something. They know things that are beyond our knowing. If you pay careful attention, you can hear them, although they are of few words. Really one feels what they are telling us, rather than hears.

About Me

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
