The High Road Art Tour Enters its Second Weekend!

Some of you who follow the blog’s facebook page may have read that I’ve been ill… in fact so much so that Anna worked the first weekend of the Tour all by herself (THANK YOU ANNA!). I was very wistful to have to miss it but so grateful to have good friends who can step up and cover for me. Craig Scoggin worked all my days during the week and went by on Saturday to grab a few pics so I could give you all a sampling of the Tour (THANK YOU CRAIG!).

Anna says she had a great time seeing old friends again and meeting many new ones. I hear quite a few of you readers came by and I’m so sorry to have missed you. But it sounds like it was a festive weekend; a great party—one I hope to attend tomorrow and Sunday.

In fact LOTS of you were traveling with your very own High Road Guide app on your iPhones! I can’t tell you how tickled Adam and I were about that. It’s our baby—a real labor of love—and it’s wonderful that many of you are discovering it. Thank you for the thumbs up.

Tomorrow the Tour goes into its second and final weekend for 2012: 9-29 and 9-30 from 10AM to 5PM both days. As I write this I’m not sure if I’ll be well enough to be there yet, but I’m certainly hoping so. However, with or without me, here’s to a brilliant wrap-up to a wonderful Tour! I hope you’ll come by for a visit.

Love to you all,
Jeane

JEANE…I missed that you have been ill….is this REAL TIME now or blog time…no you must be doing these real time since they go with the opening…you must have prewritten a few to make time for these realtime ones huh? And you are feeling under the weather – Here I send you healing love and light my dear. I will have to go back and sleuth out the words where you told of being ill my love…you are not a whiner so I take this to heart and know you will be whole as spirit in your body soon.

BIG HUG…and a soothing kiss to the forehead.

Hi Dear–Yes, I’ve been ill in real time and am JUST beginning to feel better. And I’m so grateful I was ahead with posts because I haven’t been able to write (except a few paragraphs here and there like today’s post). Several of my friends have recently been diagnosed with cancer (as I know a couple of yours have been) so I DO feel like a whiner to have been stopped in my tracks by shingles, but stopped I have been! Am looking forward to health and energy again soon. Love the hug and soothing kiss to the forehead. Am taking it in RIGHT NOW!

Thank you Laura. It takes quite a bit to keep me down but I guess the universe had other plans for me than working the Tour this year. I’m so grateful to have friends who will cover for me. A real blessing.

About Me

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
