An Amazing Storm in Truchas, NM

I’d promised you all that I would try to capture another storm (see previous post A Beautiful Storm in Northern New Mexico), one that would better show you the beauty and intensity of our New Mexico monsoons. Well, I believe I have a rather nice example for you in this video. Let me first express some regret: I was so blown away by the power of this storm that I stood on the deck marveling at it and completely forgot to do a video for you until most of the action was already over. I’m sorry but some things, quite literally, stop me in my tracks. It’s not until I am free from their spell that I remember I’d like to be able to share them with you. So here is the tail-end of a wonderful storm. I’ll try to do better next time and include you at the BEGINNING of the show.

Love to you all,
Jeane

It was VERY powerful, stunning. Definitely stopped me in my tracks. It demanded to be the center of attention.

I’m glad you enjoyed it. I thought people might. Everybody doesn’t get to experience storms like this.

Hi Diane–Your comment was lost somewhere and I was never notified about it. I JUST bumped into it today in the netherworlds of WordPress or I would have answered sooner.

It was an awe-inspiring storm for sure. It took my breath away. I’m just so glad I remembered to record what I did so I COULD share, at least a bit of it. I’m happy you enjoyed it.

About Me

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
