Unexpected Visitors

How many of you have found yourselves arriving home after a long day to unexpected visitors? Well, that’s what happened to me the other day. As I came up my driveway, there they were, headed toward my place!

And there was just no discouraging them once they’d arrived. They made themselves right at home

You know how some guests just don’t know when to leave?

But then they bolted unexpectedly, and were gone as quickly as they’d come. Was it something I said?

Love to you all,
Jeane

Lol, they must have been drawn to your lovely green grass – for eating…just a meal on their way home? I have been reading today of the drought that has starved so many horses in your area…I hope your fields are still a bit as green as they are in this photo!

Peace and rains to you my dear.

    XOXO

Yes, they came to nibble the grass and the alfalfa! Actually the fields are greener now than in these photos. We’ve had lots of life-giving rain up here in the mountains. That’s very sad about the horses starving–not up here this year–they must be talking about down south in NM which is more of a desert than our high mountain “desert.”

About Me

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
