Eleven Lessons I’ve Learned About Being A Blogger

1. Care about your readers.
2. Write about those things that interest you.
3. Use your own voice.
4. Have a conversation with your readers.
5. Listen.
6. Be real.
7. Be vulnerable.
8. Be truthful.
9. Don’t tell your readers “what is.” They already know.
10. Invite participation.
11. Write every day.

Love to you all,
Jeane

Write every day, now that is good for everyone:) Blogger or not!  Very good list of reminders my dear:)  They are a testament to your compassionate soul.

Today is to be sunny and warm here:) And for a couple of more days as well..we are going up to Friday Harbor to pick up Kellen from UofW lab where he has been working for the last three weeks:)  We will make a mini vacation out of it:)  The garden weeds will still be there on Monday when the sun is out lol.

    ENJOY!!

Oh, Friday Harbor! Be still my heart. So glad you’re leaving the weeds behind to go enjoy the sun on the bay. Breathe in some of that salt air for me, will you?

About Me

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
