Fin in His Bankie

Man oh man that’s a lot of snow! The most we’ve had in one storm all winter. It’s tough on my boy, Finn, when his bathroom is outdoors and he has so little fur (although, no matter the weather, he is gleeful about bounding out into it first thing every morning). Once he’s out there he gets to exploring and before he knows it he realizes he’s COLD! I watch diligently for him so I can let him in immediately once the cold has registered. On this morning he dashed in and jumped on his ottoman in front of the fire. His little ears were popsicles, not to mention the rest of him. I had tossed his bankie into the drier to get it warm, anticipating this. I only wish I could have taken a photo of the sigh emanating from my boy when I wrapped him up. You’ll just have to use your imaginations.

Love to you all,
Jeane

How adorable! To me Finn in his blankey looks like a bedouin, but Mike was reminded of Princess Leia in the “Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope” scene from Star Wars.  Either way, his expression is all his own.

Oh that’s funny! I can see both. But, you’re right, Finn’s expressions are his alone and priceless. Makes me laugh out loud every day.

About Me

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
