My House From the Gallery

I’ve shared so many photos with you all of my house and yard and the views I see from them. But the other day, while sitting the gallery, I realized I’d never given you a perspective of where I live. This view of my house from the gallery is one of my favorites. If you look out on the ridge, below the mountains, coming from the left to just before center, you’ll see a bright white object. That’s my roof.

I stepped across the street and took a bit of a zoomed shot so you could get a better sense of what I’m in the midst of (please forgive the very rough Photoshopping).

THAT’S where I live, truly in the middle of nature, and I couldn’t feel more blessed.

Love to you all,
Jeane

There’s another deep canyon on the other side of my land too. So I’m surrounded by wild, forested canyons.

It’s in high altitude also so the air is clear:) Lovely!

Yes, the air is very clear. Also, we don’t have the humidity that Seattle does so we don’t “see” through all that water vapor that you do. You can see forever.

About Me

About High Road Artist IMG 9461 150x150I am Jeane George Weigel, a working artist living in the mountains of northern New Mexico, and I do not think you and I are so different.

Every single one of us longs to know what we ache for, to “follow our bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously put it. You may find yours as an artist, a writer, or a teacher. But I am convinced we all yearn to live what is in our hearts. Some of us spend a lifetime discovering what that is. Some never find it.

This blog is about a journey of self-discovery, yours and mine. I write about the experience of living an artist’s life and share musings and photos as this living experiment unfolds. It is my hope you’ll join in the conversation by writing to me about your lives and I dearly hope something, here, will inspire you.
