We didn’t end up finishing the hanging and cleaning today as I promised. There were lots of little things we hadn’t planned on doing that needed to be done. We finished painting in the bathroom and found more touch up to do throughout the gallery (of course). We chose more curtains. We directed lights in the main room and I’m only realizing now that I don’t have many pictures of that. Craig brought his mounted photo prints by and we LOVE them. They go in the cool shelves in what we’re calling the second room. We hung that second room and directed the lights. We cleaned. And then we were done in and it was time for—you guessed it—margaritas!
Bill will go by in the morning to put up some lamps and the bracket for our OPEN sign, which Anna and I need to repaint (a long story). And then we’ll finish hanging the middle room, which we more lovingly call the bell room, and the bathroom. It’s time to put up prices and we’d like to move into the studio too–the last bastion of all the construction mess. We’ll see what happens tomorrow but we always seem to think we can get more done than the day allows. I know you all understand how that goes!
Anyway, here are photos from our day’s efforts today.
A couple of blogs you might want to check out: Jenina Marie’s eclectic mix of topics and stories at In The Clotheset. She interviews artists in her “Be Creative” section (including a specific artist you may already know), but I find the whole site fun and interesting.
Another some of you have already discovered is Sheri Ponzi’s Painting Herself into Being. She’s very open about her process, its joys and frights. I think many of you would not only be able to relate but will also find support and inspiration here.
Love to you all,
Jeane, Anna, Bill and Craig
